"Startling texts in unusual spaces."

"Lost Space/ Found Text’s approach is gentle and intimate, guiding the audience through the performance and inviting them to participate in small ways. The performers’ refrain ‘Can you help me?’ is an invitation, not a command."

Lost Text/Found Space make site-based performances in hidden spaces for adventurous audiences.
We work in unique, found spaces with unusual and overlooked texts, bringing unheard voices from the past to the present. We bring audiences, stories and spaces together and create layered performances which are multi-sensory, engaging sight, sound and atmospheres, in unique and powerful ways. We collaborate with many partners to create performances and experiences which work across the full spectrum of senses, and which invite thoughtful encounters.
Our recent work includes Far Away at Ambika P3 in central London, the first site-specific staging of Caryl Churchill’s classic, dystopian play of rising authoritarian regimes and climate collapse. Far Away is nominated across 6 categories of National Fringe Theatre Awards including best Production. In 2024 we staged a new version of Noel Coward’s Still Life in the exquisite Victorian Waiting Room at Peckham Rye station, in a new feminist re-staging created by multi-award-winning playwright Dan Rebellato.
Alongside our productions we lead arts-based projects in communities, collaborating with partners to deliver projects which engage with place, story and community. We believe that the arts offer valuable and life-enhancing experiences which should be accessible to all.
